About Our Staff
Lead Pastor - Richard & Kelly Schlotter
 |
Pastor Richard was radically saved and
delivered from drug addiction when he was 23 years old.
He was called into ministry while serving a ten year prison
sentence for drugs. Upon his release from prison he went
to Bible college. From there he began to fulfill the call
that God had placed on his life. That call is to take
the life changing power of Jesus Christ to a lost and
dying world.
Pastor Richard's passion is to see hearts turn to God.
He has a genuine desire to "prepare God's people
for works of service, so that the body of Christ may
be built up." He also leads the Once
Lost, Now Found ministry that focuses on freedom
from life controlling addictions.
|
He and his wife Kelly have 2 boys and 2 girls, Richard and
Wyatt, daughters Vivian and Isabella. They also have taken
in their home Pastor Richard's adopted brother and sister
after his mother passed away.
Children's Coordinators - Nick & Heidi
Hughes
 |
Nick and Heidi Hughes are the Children's
Ministry Coordinators at First Pentecostal Assembly
of God. They have been attending First Penn and filling
this position since July 2005. Children are a big part
of their life. They have five of their own: Maddison,
Maisie, Brandt, Myleigh and Meadow.
"The first Pen kids mean a great deal to us,"
says Heidi. "When people ask, we say we have about
sixty children, but only five are biological. We very
much enjoy our position at First Pen, especially being
blessed to have a good group of kids and so many wonderful,
willing, and faithful teachers, helpers, and volunteers.
Of course, this would be most impossible without them
all."
|
Nick and Heidi are on one great mission to reach as many
lost souls as possible bringing them to know Christ, our wonderful
Lord and Saviour, and to Glorify God through it all.
Evangelism Coordinator - Lisa & James Mullikin
 |
Lisa Mullikin was hired in July of 2010 as the Evangelism
Coordinator at First Pentecostal Assembly of God. She
was born and raised in Bloomfield, IA. After completing
high school, she attended Oral Roberts University in
Tulsa, OK where she received a bachelor's degree in
elementary education. God called her back home to southeastern
Iowa, the area her heart has grown to love.
Four years after returning home, she married her best
friend, James, whom she had known since their youth
group days. They have been married for 16 years and
live on one of the family-owned farms about 10 miles
east of Ottumwa with their little boy, Michael.
|
Lisa helps oversee community outreaches, prison ministry, women's
ministry, Once Lost, Now Found
(drug and alcohol recovery ministry), and discipleship. She
is excited to be in ministry here and is looking forward to
what God will do in the days ahead and to do her part to further
His Kingdom here in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Volunteer Staff
We also have a whole team of volunteer staff who unselfishly
donate their time each and every week who we appreciate tremendously!
